The short answer
Stop repeating the blocked action, save the exact message and check your account notices. A blocked follow or comment is different from a disabled account or reduced reach. Follow any stated expiry or review option; there is no single reset time or safe activity quota for every account.
Name the action that no longer works
Can you still sign in, read messages or publish? Is only following blocked, or do likes and comments fail too? Record the smallest accurate description. “I cannot follow another account” gives you a clearer starting point than “Instagram banned me”.
If the login screen explicitly says the account is disabled, use the disabled-account guide. If posting works but fewer people see it, read about reach and recommendation restrictions. Those problems should not automatically receive the same fix.
Read the notice before trying again
Keep the exact wording, the affected action and any expiry date. Check the Account Status or support information available in your app. If a review option is shown, describe the relevant action and why you believe the restriction is mistaken.
A general “Try again later” message gives less information than a specific restriction notice. If Instagram has not provided an end time, a forum estimate of 24 hours or seven days does not become a reliable deadline. Avoid repeatedly testing the same action while an explicit restriction remains in place.
Review recent activity and connected tools
Consider what changed shortly before the message: a burst of follow requests, repeated comments, commercial messages or a newly connected app. Pause any automation you do not need and review tools you no longer recognize or use.
Instagram’s published guidelines prohibit artificial engagement, repetitive spam and repeated unsolicited commercial contact. That is different from a published universal daily limit. Do not buy a “safe” quota or use multiple accounts to continue the same blocked pattern.
Check the specific case of the following limit
Instagram documents a total limit of 7,500 accounts that a person can follow. If the problem is specifically an inability to follow more accounts, check your current following count against that published limit.
This total is not a daily allowance and does not explain every follow restriction. If you are well below it, keep investigating the actual message. Avoid bulk unfollowing as an automatic response: it may not address the cause and removes connections you might want to keep.
Check for a local app problem
Update the official app and restart it. If you can access the account through an official browser session, compare what works there without repeatedly performing the blocked action. A difference between app and browser is useful information for a report; it is not proof of a particular hidden sanction.
Before logging out or reinstalling, confirm you still control recovery methods and understand the effect on locally stored drafts. If several unrelated functions fail together, collect those details rather than changing every account setting at once.
Explain the problem clearly
Use the support or report option available to the account. Include the affected action, when it began, the exact notice, device/app version and whether other functions still work. Mention a recent appeal or reinstatement if one occurred. Keep one coherent timeline so later updates add information.
Kahyalar Solutions assesses suitable account-restriction cases and additional processing options. We distinguish the removal of a specific restriction from a promise of reach or unlimited activity. See the service scope before commissioning work.
